THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF HERKIMER & ONEIDA COUNTIES ELECTS NEW TRUSTEES

The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties elected two new members to its Board of Trustees at its recent annual meeting.

Newly elected are Richard Callahan of Clinton, retired Partners Trust Bank Vice President and Eve Van de Wal of New Hartford, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Regional President.

Theodore Max, M.D. and Robert Julian, Esq. retired from the board after serving collectively for a total of 13 years. A term for trustees is three years, which may be extended to a limit of three, three-year terms.

Returning as trustees are Chair-Elect Larry Bull of Herkimer, Mary Lyons Bradley of New Hartford, Don Carbone of Boonville, Linda Cohen of Old Forge, Rudy D’Amico of Marcy, Lori Kaplan Felice of Rome, Keith Fenstemacher of New Hartford, Joseph Hobika, Sr., Esq. of Utica, Harrison Hummel III of Mohawk, Chair Georgiana Roberts Ide of New Hartford, David Jones of Utica, Linda Macartney of Clinton, Susan Matt of New Hartford, Albert Mazloom of Utica, Mary Morse of Mohawk, Secretary-Treasurer Judith Vicks Sweet of Clinton, Richard Tantillo of Clinton and Richard Zick of Rome. Peggy O’Shea of Barneveld is The Foundation’s president & CEO.

The Community Foundation has been a force for improving lives and promoting philanthropy throughout Herkimer and Oneida counties since 1952.

The Foundation has made more than 4,300 grants totaling over $35 million in support of causes ranging from education to health care, the arts to the environment. Grants are generated by the more than 270 funds that comprise The Foundation’s endowment, established and advanced by area individuals and families.
