Yorkville Battery to Celebrate Grand Opening of New Location

A ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the relocation of Yorkville Battery is scheduled for Wednesday, June 30. The ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm at 5152 Commercial Drive. The Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors’ as well as local dignitaries will help with the ribbon cutting. There will be many new products on display as well as refreshments, show specials, and drawings for prizes. The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend!

Yorkville Battery is the area’s largest and most complete battery supplier. In 1975, when the company was founded by John Kratzert and Mike Schreppel, the business was located in a garage and small warehouse behind their two homes on Whitesboro Street in Yorkville. Coming off another record sales year in 2009 and the addition of Schreppel’s son and Kratzert’s grandson Jordan Schreppel to the business, the need to expand was necessary. In December of 2009, they purchased the property on 5152 Commercial Drive East. The new location has provided the space for Yorkville Battery to expand its product line.

The 3600 square foot warehouse has displays of solar power panels, battery chargers, power inverters, surge protectors, uninterruptable power systems, battery booster packs and much more. Yorkville Battery has a repair center to service battery chargers and custom fabricate battery cables and can also replace batteries in many battery powered devices. Yorkville Battery has serviced tractor trailers, motor homes, fire trucks, ambulances, and construction equipment. Yorkville Battery stocks hundreds of batteries for almost any application, including cell phones, cordless phones, laptops, remote door openers, power tools, digital cameras, and much more.
